Europe covered by snow has been done before, and very well
Have not seen 2012 movie yet, but plan to. My daughter and granddaughter did see it and told me it was done very well. But the movie The Day After Tomorrow covered the issue of quick melting polar ice disrupting the North Atlantic current and plunging the earth into another ice age. This movie is one of my favorites because it is not only done very well but focuses on how humanity can survive and holds hope for a better future, if we learn from our mistakes.
